A guest lecture of prof. L. A. DiMatteo – summary

On October 16 th 2018, at the invitation of the Chair of Private Law of the Jagiellonian  University and the Polish Law and Economics Association, Professor Larry A. DiMatteo, Huber Hurst Professor of Contract Law, Florida University, delivered a guest lecture on „Economic Analysis of Contract Law as Descriptive and Normative Theory”. The speaker discussed the development and impact of major lines of thought in the economic analysis of American contract law from an international and comparative perspective.

15th Israeli Law and Economics Association Conference – call for papers!

The Israeli Law and Economics Association (ILEA) welcomes submissions of papers on any topic regarding the Economic Analysis of Law for its 15th annual conference to be held at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on December 18th, 2018.

The keynote speaker will be the Honorable Prof. Alex Stein (Supreme Court of Israel).

ILEA invites contributions in all aspects related to Law and Economics, both theoretical and empirical.

Submissions must be original and not previously published.

Summer School in Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg

the Institute of Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg  is happy to announce this year’s edition of the Summer School in Law and Economics.

The annual Summer School features five one-week intensive lecture series for which we have again assembled a group of internationally renowned scholars in law and economics. Courses will cover the topics of Corruption Research, International Law and International Relations, Global Environmental Politics, Economic Analysis of Law  as well as an Introduction to German Law.
